Stories about people's Für Elise experiences

Making the connection from another work

This story was submitted by Frank and was added around May 2010.

I heard this song in Spanish, but always knew it was a song taken from Classical music. In Spanish it was recorded by a very famous Mexican trio, The Trio Los Panchos as "Ensueno de Amor"/For Liza". It was only later that I put two and two together and connected the song to Ludwig von Beethovan's "Fur Elise". The song was adapted by Perry "Bunny" Botkin Jr. (author of the hit instrumental "Nadia's Theme" and son of Perry Botkin Sr. who wrote the "Ballad of Jed Clampet" for the TV series "The Beverly Hillbillies". In Japan the song was recorded by The Peanuts, a female duo consisting of twin sisters. Many may remember them from the old Japanese monster movie "Mothra vs. Gadzilla (1964).
